Notice Period : Immediate to 1520 Days Preferred

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer / Data Architect to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Power BI, along with expertise in data governance and modern data architecture patterns.

This role involves leading end-to-end data engineering initiatives, enabling advanced analytics, business intelligence, and AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable cloud-based data architectures on Microsoft Azure

- Develop and orchestrate end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF)

- Build and optimize data lakes using Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen1/Gen2)

- Implement ETL/ELT frameworks using Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)

- Develop data models and dashboards using Power BI with strong DAX optimization

- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance (RBAC/ABAC) across data platforms

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions

- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to team members

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7-9 years of experience in data engineering or data architecture

- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services

- Strong expertise in :

1. Azure Data Factory (ADF)

2. Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)

3. Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen1/Gen2)

4. Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboards)

5. Unity Catalog (data governance and access control)

- 2-3 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub preferred)

- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and medallion architecture

- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or PySpark

- Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and DevOps practices for data platforms

- Knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks

- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate)

- Power BI Data Analyst Certification

- Experience with Azure Synapse, Purview, Logic Apps, or Power Automate

- Familiarity with real-time data processing (Event Hubs, Stream Analytics)

- Experience with event-driven architectures and large-scale data systems
