Role Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions within enterprise Azure environments.

The role focuses on automating repeatable infrastructure processes, improving deployment efficiency, ensuring governance compliance, and supporting CI/CD-enabled cloud provisioning. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Cloud (IaaS & PaaS), networking, and Azure-native automation tooling.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation :

- Design, develop, test, and validate Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates and Bicep scripts.

- Manage Azure Template Specs and Bicep-based IaC deployments.

- Maintain source control repositories for all infrastructure code and enforce change management practices.

- Develop reusable, scalable, and standardized infrastructure modules.

- Troubleshoot and resolve IaC deployment failures and configuration issues.

2. Azure Cloud Implementation (IaaS & PaaS) :

- Provision and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS services including :

a. Virtual Machines

b. App Services

c. Azure Functions / Logic Apps

d. Storage Accounts

e. Networking components

- Implement Azure Policy and governance controls.

- Maintain and update cloud naming conventions and deployment standards.

3. Azure Networking & Security :

- Configure and manage Azure Networking components including :

a. Virtual Networks (VNETs)

b. Subnets and NSGs

c. Application Gateways

d. Private Endpoints

e. Private DNS Zones

- Diagnose and resolve private endpoint connectivity and DNS integration issues.

- Implement secure credential management using Azure Key Vault.

- Ensure adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.

4. CI/CD & DevOps Enablement :

- Assist development teams in configuring Azure DevOps pipelines for automated deployments.

- Configure service principals and role-based access control (RBAC).

- Automate infrastructure deployment through CI/CD workflows.

- Maintain PowerShell and Azure CLI scripts used for automation and operational support.

5. Documentation & Continuous Improvement :

- Develop and maintain resource deployment documentation, architecture diagrams, and resource sheets.

- Identify opportunities to enhance automation processes and implement improvements.

- Conduct research and evaluate new cloud technologies and automation tools.

- Collaborate with IT management and stakeholders to support business objectives.

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (IaaS & PaaS services)

- Expertise in Azure Infrastructure as Code (ARM Templates & Bicep)

- Experience building and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and Azure CLI

- Deep understanding of Azure networking (VNETs, NSGs, App Gateways, Private Endpoints, DNS)

- Experience with Azure Policy and governance controls

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IaC and connectivity-related issues

Nice to Have :

- Experience with Terraform

- Exposure to REST APIs and JSON scripting

- Experience working in large enterprise cloud environments

- Azure or AWS certifications

- 10+ years of overall IT experience with minimum 5+ years in infrastructure automation

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize within a team environment

Education :

- B.A. / B.S. in Information Technology or related field (preferred)

- Azure or AWS certifications are desirable
