Job Summary :

The Senior Application Packaging Engineer is a senior technical expert responsible for App package creation, testing, deployment & troubleshooting installation issues. Should have good hands-on experience in Packaging Tools & Technologies. UAT test with end-users to ensure software functionality. Good hands-on experience in SCCM application creations and deployments. Should be Proficient in PowerShell deployment tool kit & VBScripts.

Key Responsibilities :

- Application packaging, automation and deployment of software installations/uninstallations/updates using deployment tools SCCM and PowerShell Deployment tool kit.

- Application Packaging, Troubleshooting, RCA, Testing and Software Remediation using Windows Installer Technology and SCCM.

- Automate software installations for Windows Server 2019,2016 ,2022 and 2025, Windows 10 and 11, Citrix servers and MAC OS.

- Scripting Languages : Batch Scripting, Vb Scripting, PowerShell Scripting, JAMF Composer, JAMF Pro.

- Expertise in Install Shield, Admin studio for Application Packaging and Repackaging.

- Writing custom actions using PowerShell script for customization of the user's specified requirements.

- Debug the errors by using log files and Event viewer.

- To solve complex technical issues and develop customized solutions for package which can be deployed by using SCCM

- From creating packages, deploying to the environment to resolving SCCM deployment issues.

- Validation of documentation related to software package and installation process. Validation of tracking methods for installed software. Obsoletion/removal of outdated software packages from the software repository and deployment tools.

- UAT test with end-users to ensure software functionality.

- Test and validate packaged software installation via script and automation tools. Validate tracking methods are utilized to report installation status.

- Complete packages within the SLA.

- Peer reviews automation to ensure accuracy.

- Weekly calls with clients for discussion on packaging issues, package priorities, and deliverables.

- Interacting with US clients to gather the requirements.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 7+ years of experience in App package creation, testing, deployment & troubleshooting.

- Expert-level troubleshooting in package creation and troubleshooting installation/uninstallation/upgrade issues.

- Strong scripting and automation skills.

- Deep understanding of Application Packaging, SCCM 2012, Application compatibility testing.

- Experience with VB scripting, PowerShell deployment tool kit, on windows 10, windows 11.

- Experience in deploying the packages through on SCCM 2012(both Application and Packaging Model)

- Experience in working in Service NOW request and Incidents.

- UAT test with end-users to ensure software functionality

Preferred Skills :

- MSI packaging, Admin Studio, Orca, Custom scripting using Batch, VBScript, PowerShell scripting, and PowerShell deployment tool kit.

- EUC Application Packaging, Application repackaging, Install shield.

- Deploying the packages through SCCM 2012 (both Application and Packaging Model.

- Hyper - V images for test environment.

- Understanding Windows 11 and Mac.

- Requirement validation.

- Ability to contribute medium to complex tasks independently.

- Ability to accept and respond to production issues and coordinate with stakeholders if any.
