Senior Appian Lead - BPM Integration

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Appian Lead to take ownership of the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-grade BPM applications using the Appian Low-Code Platform. This is a leadership role that involves both hands-on development and mentoring of junior team members. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Appian architecture, process automation, and system integration, along with the ability to lead development teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the full software development lifecycle for Appian-based applications, including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

- Define scalable architecture and reusable components within Appian applications.

- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into Appian solutions.

- Design complex process models, SAIL interfaces, records, reports, and smart services using the latest Appian capabilities.

- Integrate Appian applications with external systems using RESTful APIs, web services, databases, and third-party tools.

- Ensure adherence to Appian and industry best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.

- Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and refactoring to ensure high-quality codebase.

- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level Appian developers, providing guidance on architecture and development approaches.

- Support deployment activities, provide technical documentation, and manage post-deployment monitoring and troubleshooting.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Minimum 8 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on Appian development experience.

- Proven experience leading Appian development teams on large-scale enterprise projects.

Expertise in Appian BPM Suite including :

- SAIL UI development

- Process Models

- Records, Reports, and Sites

- Appian Smart Services and Plug-ins

- Expression rules and Interfaces

- Strong knowledge of software development best practices (design patterns, secure coding,

version control, etc.).

- Solid experience in integrating Appian with databases, REST/SOAP web services, and other

third-party systems.

- Proficiency in Appian testing frameworks and automated testing tools.

- Familiarity with Appian DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Automated Deployment Manager, etc.).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead meetings and present solutions clearly.
