We are seeking a Senior API Gateway Engineer with strong expertise in API management platforms, Java development, GCP, and L7 routing for enterprise-scale API ecosystems. The role involves designing secure, scalable API gateway architectures supporting microservices environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and operate API gateway solutions using OAS3, with Apigee as a strong plus.

- Build API gateway plugins, policies, and extensions using advanced Java.

- Architect API lifecycle workflows: authentication, authorization, throttling, versioning.

- Deploy gateway components using Docker and cloud-native endpoints.

- Implement and optimize L7 routing rules for API traffic management.

- Work with GCP services (GKE, IAM, networking, Cloud Functions).

- Enhance overall platform architecture and design.

- Build CI/CD automation for gateway updates and API rollouts.

- Improve observability with logs, metrics, and distributed tracing integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience with API Gateways, OAS3, and API management (Apigee preferred).

- Mandatory : Strong practical experience with L7 routing patterns for APIs.

- Advanced Java programming for custom gateway logic and extensions.

- Strong GCP knowledge (GKE, IAM, Networking, Cloud Functions).

- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized microservices.

- Knowledge of software design/architecture for API platforms.

- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with observability tooling for API systems
