The Senior Android Developer is a dedicated hands-on role requiring 5.5 to 9 years of experience, focused on designing, developing, and supporting high-quality, native mobile applications.

This is a Hybrid role based in Pune, Hinjewadi Phase 2, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

The incumbent will play a crucial part in the full development lifecycle, leveraging Android, Kotlin, and Java, and adhering to Agile/Product methodology standards.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer (5.59 years) to drive native mobile application development.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Android, Kotlin, and Java, proficiently manage native app dependencies (Gradle/Maven), and have proven expertise in integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.

This role requires managing the full application release lifecycle and working within a collaborative, Agile environment to design, develop, and support robust mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Mobile Development Deliverables

- Mobile Application Development: Drive end-to-end Mobile application development, from feature definition and design through testing and deployment.

- Native Development & Tooling: Design, Develop, and Support native mobile applications utilizing industry-standard build and Native mobile app dependency management tools (e.g., Gradle, Maven etc.).

- Technology Stack Proficiency: Apply extensive experience in Android, Kotlin, and Java to build robust, high-performance applications that adhere to modern Android development standards.

- API Integration: Execute Experience integrating API/services effectively, with REST protocol being strongly preferred, ensuring secure and seamless data communication between the mobile client and backend systems.

- Release and Lifecycle Management: Possess hands-on App release experience, including preparing, submitting, and managing applications on the Google Play Store. Oversee the Development and integration of third-party source code or libraries (SDKs).

- Process Methodology: Demonstrate mandatory experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying Agile/Product methodology (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to ensure iterative and efficient delivery.

- Quality and Maintenance: Collaborate with the QA team to identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs, ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 5.5 - 9 years of relevant Android development experience.

- Core Technology: Expertise in Android, Kotlin, and Java.

- Development Tools: Proficient with native mobile app dependency management tools like Gradle or Maven.

- Integration: Experience integrating API/services (REST is preferred).

- Process: Experience applying Agile/Product methodology.

- Lifecycle: Experience in App release processes and Development and integration of third-party source code or libraries.

Preferred Skills :

- Strong knowledge of Android Architecture Components (LiveData, ViewModel, Room).
