Job Title : AI Engineer

Location : Pune, India (On-site)


Type : Full-Time


Our client is building Last Mile 2.0 , redefining urban logistics in India. With proven MVP and are now scaling from pilot to national roll-out, looking for a AI Engineer to design, build, and scale the systems that will power thousands of riders across India.


Role Overview :


Were looking for AI Engineers and Researchers who can take ownership of building and deploying forecasting models into production. This isnt a research-only role its about getting working systems live, iterating fast, and making a measurable impact on SLA compliance.


Key Responsibilities :


- Build and train forecasting models

- Integrate model outputs into our real-time decision engine (Python APIs, Redis, AWS).

- Work with simulation data to create training/evaluation sets.

- Optimize for inference speed (ONNX/TorchScript, quantization).

- Collaborate with the founders to shape model roadmap and metrics.


What Were Looking For :


- Strong proficiency in Python + PyTorch/TensorFlow.

- Experience with time-series models and data (any of : traffic, mobility, maps, forecasting).

- Understanding of geospatial frameworks.

- Comfort with data engineering basics (pipelines, ETL, SQL/NoSQL).

- Ability to ship fast, debug, and optimize models for real-time serving.


Nice to have :


- Experience with Redis, OSRM, or similar real-time infra.

- Background in last-mile logistics, ride-hailing, food and grocery delivery, or mobility data.

- Exposure to reinforcement learning or simulation-driven training.
