Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs using SAS/BASE, SAS SQL, SAS Macros, and various procedures such as Proc SQL, Proc Transpose, etc.

- Work on ETL processes, handle large volumes of data, and support data movement and transformation.

- Ensure data quality, validation, and integrity through robust data management and QA practices.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and workflows.

- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to support reporting and data integration initiatives.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues efficiently and independently.

- Document processes, technical specifications, and data flows to support data lineage and audit requirements.

Mandatory Skills :

Strong expertise in SAS programming, including :

- SAS/BASE (Data Step programming)

- SAS/SQL

- SAS Macros

Key procedures like Proc SQL, Proc Transpose, etc.

- Good understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

- Knowledge of data validation, data quality, and data lineage methodologies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and communicate technical topics effectively.

- Experience in analyzing complex datasets and supporting reporting/data initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to tools like Informatica, Power BI, Tableau, or R is a plus.

- Understanding of pharma, banking, or healthcare domains is an advantage.

- Experience in agile or hybrid project environments.
