Role : Senior Product Manager - Business Platforms
Location : Pune (Baner)
Product Scope : Internal Platforms used across Business Verticals
About the Role :
Key Responsibilities :
1. Product Discovery & Workflow Ownership :
- Independently identify missing, broken, or manual workflows across internal platforms.
- Perform competition & industry research (NBFCs, fintech ops tools, rural finance players) to identify proven patterns.
- Deeply analyse :
1. Internal support tickets (L1/L2)
2. Ops escalations
3. Audit observations
4. Field feedback from Branch, RM, Credit Ops, Collections
- Convert ambiguity into clear workflows, states, roles, and system boundaries.
2. Backlog Building & Business Prioritization :
- Own the end-to-end backlog for internal platforms.
- Prioritize ruthlessly based on :
1. Business impact
2. Regulatory risk
3. Ops scalability
4. Cost-to-serve reduction
- Drive quarterly and monthly prioritisation with Tech, Ops, Risk, and Compliance.
3. Data & Dashboard-Driven Product Management :
- Define and track operational KPIs (TATs, rework %, exception rates, escalations).
- Work with Data teams to :
1. Build dashboards that expose inefficiencies
2. Use data to justify prioritisation decisions
- Ensure product decisions are defensible with data, not opinions.
4. Regulatory & Audit Readiness :
- Design workflows aligned with :
1. RBI IT & NBFC guidelines :
2.. Audit trails, maker-checker controls, role-based access
- Actively close audit observations through system design, not SOPs alone.
- Partner with Compliance & Risk teams proactivelybefore audits.
5. Partner & Integration Ownership :
- Own product flows involving partners such as :
1. KYC providers
2. Credit bureaus
3. Payment gateways
- Define SLAs, failure handling, fallbacks, and reconciliation workflows.
- Ensure partner dependencies do not become operational blind spots.
This role is NOT for you if :
- You rely only on stakeholders to define workflows.
- You avoid ops complexity or regulatory discussions.
- You are uncomfortable deep-diving into support tickets or field realities.
Requirements :
- 6-10+ years in Product Management, preferably in fintech, NBFC, lending, or ops heavy platforms.
- Proven ability to design complex internal workflows from scratch.
- Strong comfort with data, dashboards, and operational metrics.
- Hands-on experience dealing with regulatory audits or compliance-driven systems.
- Ability to engage confidently with :

2. Ops heads
3. Engineering
4. Risk & Compliance
