Job Overview :

We are looking for a skilled SAP HANA Database Administrator to join our growing team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing complex SAP HANA database landscapes, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and robust data security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations of our SAP HANA infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install and configure SAP HANA databases and associated components (Studio, Cockpit, etc.)

- Setup and maintain multi-tenant database containers (MDC) and manage system replication

- Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations, and tuning activities

- Manage and monitor database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks

- Conduct system refreshes, exports/imports, and table partitioning strategies

- Implement and maintain database security policies (authentication, authorization, encryption)

- Perform user and role administration, including auditing and compliance checks

- Design and manage comprehensive backup and recovery strategies

- Perform periodic recovery tests and ensure disaster recovery readiness

- Monitor database KPIs, analyze workload using HANA tools, and fine-tune SQL queries

- Collaborate with development and functional teams to optimize database-dependent processes

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of system configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical guides

- Prepare regular status reports and capacity planning documents

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA database administration in large-scale enterprise environments

- Strong understanding of HANA architecture, memory management, and data persistence layers

- Experience with HANA Studio, Cockpit, DBACOCKPIT, and other HANA monitoring tools

- Proficient in Linux OS administration as it relates to HANA system environments

- Hands-on experience in HANA backup and recovery strategies

- Knowledge of HANA system replication, HA/DR setups, and scale-out configurations

- Familiarity with integration into SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, and other SAP products

- Experience with automation scripting (Shell/Python) is a plus
