Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SAP HANA Database Consultant to join our team in Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive administration, maintenance, and support of SAP HANA databases. This includes handling incidents, performing installations and upgrades, ensuring high availability, and optimizing performance. You will also contribute to knowledge transfer within international teams and participate in strategic migration projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage message processing, technical incident management, service and change request management, as well as problem management and root cause analysis for SAP HANA database issues.

- Perform installation, patching, and upgrade activities for SAP HANA systems.

- Take responsibility for performance monitoring and tuning, backup and restore procedures, and recovery procedures for SAP HANA databases.

- Ensure high availability of SAP HANA systems, including setting up and maintaining disaster recovery configurations.

- Provide technical expertise and support in optimizing System Operation and System Architecture related to SAP HANA.

- Support the development of concepts and tools to solve and prevent problems and to increase efficiency within the database landscape.

- Collaborate effectively within international teams and drive global knowledge transfer and documentation.

- Conduct workshops and training courses for customers and ensure robust knowledge transfer within the team, including supervising juniors and trainees.

- Lead the planning, setup, and implementation of technical migration projects and drive continuous improvement of products and processes.

Required Skills :

- 3-6 years of experience in SAP HANA Database administration and consulting.

- Good understanding of HANA system architecture.

- Proficient knowledge of Linux operating system for HANA server management.

- Hands-on HANA Installation and Administration experience.

- Expertise in backup maintenance using backint in Hana Studio.

- Ability to stop and start the HANA Database (Single and Multi-tenant) during maintenance windows.

- Experience in installing HANA 2.0 MDC (Multi-tenant Database Containers) end-to-end.

- Proficiency in performing DB Client upgrades.

- Experience with HANA Version upgrades from HANA 1.0 to HANA 2.0.

- Skilled in HANA Monitoring using Hana Studio by acting on Alerts.

- Experience with applying licenses for HANA systems.

- Knowledge of audit log management and enabling audit logs for users.

- Ability to enable traces for performance analysis.

- Proficiency in performing system health checks.

- Experience with creation of users and assigning roles to users within HANA.

- Strong troubleshooting skills for backup, memory, CPU utilization, and performance issues.

- Competent in parameter configuration changes in HANA.

- Experience in performing backup recovery and point-in-time recovery for both MDC and Non-MDC systems.

- Adept at troubleshooting HANA database issues by analyzing trace files.

- Capable of handling P1 and P2 related incidents and providing timely solutions.
