Role Overview :
This is a senior-level role responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of SAP Field Logistics solutions, with a strong emphasis on integration with related SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Finance & Controlling (FICO). The position requires deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics processes, a strong understanding of best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and configuration of SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics, including the definition of organizational structures, customization of functionalities, and integration with other SAP modules.
- Analyze business requirements related to field logistics operations, develop functional specifications, and design solutions aligned with best practices.
- Drive end-to-end SAP Field Logistics implementation projects including planning, testing, training, go-live, and post-implementation support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the SAP Field Logistics space, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to optimize field logistics operations.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and user guides.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge across teams to build internal capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external consultants to ensure cohesive solution delivery.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in analyzing and optimizing field logistics business processes.
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Field Logistics, IS-OIL Remote Logistics Management (RLM), and Materials/Inventory Management, including configuration and integration.
- Strong background in field service operations, service parts management, mobile workforce support, logistics coordination, reverse logistics, and inventory control.
- Experience working in consulting environments, including client-facing roles, requirements gathering, and project delivery.
- Industry-specific knowledge in sectors such as energy, utilities, or retail is highly beneficial for tailoring solutions.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong understanding of cross-functional integration with SAP PM, FI/CO, and other systems.
- Familiarity with change management principles and supporting organizations through transformation initiatives.
Required Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics or equivalent IS-Oil RLM experience.
- Proficiency in related SAP modules such as:
- Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Quality Management (QM)
- Integration with Plant Maintenance (PM), Finance/Controlling (FI/CO), and SAP Business Network
Preferred Skills and Attributes :
- Professional certifications related to supply chain, logistics, or project management (e.g., CSCP, PMP).
- Masters degree in a relevant technical or business field.
- Experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Field Logistics in both upstream operations and refining environments.
- SAP expertise in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO).
- Experience leading IT-driven transformation projects.
- Broad experience across the solution lifecycle from design and planning through to maintenance and documentation.
- Exposure to large-scale ERP transformations and upgrades.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory considerations in highly regulated industries (e.g., energy, finance, manufacturing).
