Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP FI Tester to join our Finance IT team as a contractor for our client, Vodafone.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the SAP Financial Accounting (FI) module by designing, executing, and documenting comprehensive test plans. This position requires deep expertise in SAP FI business processes and a strong command of software testing methodologies.

You will work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to guarantee that all financial processes and system functionalities meet business requirements and are free of defects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Test Planning & Execution : Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test scripts, and test cases for various SAP FI sub-modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, and Revenue Postings.

- Regression & UAT : Perform comprehensive regression testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across the SAP FI module and its integrated systems to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities.

- Defect Management : Accurately identify, document, and track software defects using test management tools such as HP ALM. You will be responsible for logging defects, providing detailed reproduction steps, and collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

- Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business users to understand requirements, validate end-to-end business scenarios, and ensure complete test coverage.

- Validation & Reporting : Validate financial transactions and reporting functionalities to ensure data accuracy and compliance with business and regulatory standards.

- Documentation : Maintain all test-related documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect logs, and test closure reports.

- Issue Resolution : Participate in defect triage meetings, analyze root causes of issues, and drive defects to closure, providing regular status updates to project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Experience : A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP FI testing.

- Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Technical Expertise : Strong functional knowledge of core SAP FI business processes, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Travel Management, Asset Lifecycle, Intercompany transactions, and SAP Real Estate Flexible (RE-FX).

- Testing Tools : Proven proficiency with test management tools, specifically HP ALM.

- Methodology : Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies, and the defect lifecycle.

- Soft Skills : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to create clear, concise documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to Have :

- Certifications : SAP FI or ISTQB certification.

- Emerging Technologies : Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance.

- Test Automation : Experience with test automation tools like Tricentis Tosca or UFT (Unified Functional Testing).

- Advanced Concepts : Knowledge of risk-based testing and integration with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Cross-Module Knowledge : Familiarity with cross-module testing scenarios involving SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), and SAP CO (Controlling).
