We are seeking a highly reliable and technically skilled SAP BI/BO Solutions Developer to assume end-to-end ownership of all front-end SAP Business Intelligence (BI) and BusinessObjects (BO) projects. This critical role requires a strong blend of business acumen, analytical proficiency, and deep technical expertise to manage the full solution lifecycle. This includes gathering complex business requirements, translating them into robust technical specifications, and subsequently developing, testing, deploying, and supporting insightful BI applications that drive strategic decision-making across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Strategy and Business Analysis :

- Collaborate extensively with diverse business stakeholders to thoroughly understand and document complex analytical and reporting needs, defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report specifications.

- Function as a Business Analyst to translate high-level business requirements into clear, concise, and detailed technical specifications and functional design documents for BI/BO solutions.

SAP BI/BO Development and Delivery :

- Design, develop, and optimize robust SAP BI solutions, covering the entire data lifecycle including Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) processes within the SAP ecosystem.

- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in query design and reporting tools, specifically BEx Query Designer and Analysis for Office (AO), to deliver flexible and high-performance reporting structures.

- Leverage proven expertise in the SAP BusinessObjects (BO) suite to design and deliver front-end reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Lumira.

- Utilize expert SQL skills for complex data analysis, data validation, performance tuning, and efficient troubleshooting of data integrity issues across source and target systems.

Architecture and Data Modeling :

- Apply a strong understanding of data modeling principles (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) to architect efficient and scalable data structures within the SAP BI/Data Warehouse environment.

- Collaborate with data engineering teams on Azure concepts, architecture, and data pipeline design where relevant to hybrid BI solutions.

- Ensure a solid understanding of underlying data and business processes across functional domains to build contextually accurate and relevant reporting solutions.

Leadership and Quality Assurance :

- Lead and conduct rigorous unit testing and system integration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet documented requirements and performance standards.

- Take responsibility for mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices in SAP BI/BO development, performance optimization, and problem-solving techniques.

Required Qualifications :

Educational Background : Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.

Experience : 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience in BI development, with a significant focus on the SAP BI/BO stack.

Technical Expertise :

- Proven expertise in SAP BO suite development and administration.

- Proven experience in developing SAP BI solutions, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes within SAP.

- Expert-level proficiency in BEx Query Designer and Analysis for Office (AO).

- Expert SQL skills for complex data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.

- Solid understanding of data modeling principles and database design.

Certifications and Soft Skills :

- Possession of relevant professional certifications (MS, Tableau, or SAP certifications).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to translate complex business needs into tangible technical solutions.

- Exceptional communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

Preferred Skills :

Visualization Tools : Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI and/or Tableau.

Advanced SAP Technologies : Familiarity and experience with SAP HANA architecture and development, including exposure to SAP BW/4HANA.

Security and Governance : Experience defining and implementing SAP BI/BO, Power BI, and Tableau security concepts and complex user authorization models.

Cloud Integration : Practical experience integrating SAP BI solutions with cloud data platforms, specifically leveraging Azure components (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics).
