We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with 7 to 10 years of experience to focus on building modern, cloud-ready applications and extensions.

This critical role demands mandatory hands-on expertise in the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) on the SAP S/4HANA platform and SAP BTP.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing robust, scalable transactional services while strictly adhering to the "Clean Core" development principle.

Role Requirements & Logistics :

Key Responsibilities & Technical Deliverables :

1. ABAP RAP & S/4HANA Development

- RAP Implementation (Mandatory) : Design, develop, and implement complex transactional and analytical applications using ABAP Objects and the full ABAP RAP framework. This includes proficiency in both Managed and Unmanaged implementation scenarios.

- Data Modeling : Create and manage ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) Views to define sophisticated data models, virtual data models (VDM), and optimize query performance directly on the SAP HANA database.

- Service Exposure : Expose RAP Business Objects as high-performance OData V2/V4 services for seamless consumption by front-end applications.

2. Clean Core Extensibility & Standards

- Clean Core Principle : Implement best practices for S/4HANA extensibility, focusing on the "Clean Core" principle to ensure minimal modification to standard SAP code via custom objects and APIs.

- Quality & Tuning : Perform detailed code reviews for peers, conduct unit testing, and utilize strong knowledge of performance tuning techniques to optimize code and CDS view execution.

- Technical Documentation : Produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation for all developed objects and services.

3. Technology Integration

- OOABAP : Utilize Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) for modular and scalable code design.

- Front-End Integration (Preferred) : Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 application development to understand consumption patterns and optimize OData service design.

- Cloud Platform (Preferred) : Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) for cloud-native extension and integration scenarios.

Essential Skills & Technical Expertise :

- ABAP Experience : 7+ years in SAP ABAP development.

- Modern Framework (Mandatory) : Mandatory hands-on experience with ABAP RAP.

- Data & Services : Proficiency in ABAP CDS Views and OData Service development.

- Coding Standards : Strong knowledge of OOABAP and performance tuning.
