SAP ABAP Lead - Implementation & Support

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex ABAP solutions across multiple SAP modules.

- Apply advanced ABAP OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) techniques to build scalable and reusable components.

- Guide and mentor junior ABAP developers; ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including functional consultants, architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Oversee and manage technical aspects of SAP implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and support engagements.

- Review technical specifications, perform code reviews, and ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.

- Handle performance tuning, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of custom developments.

- Participate in project planning, resource allocation, and effort estimation activities.

- Ensure timely delivery of development milestones in alignment with business goals.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

Strong knowledge of:

- Reports, Module Pool Programming

- BDC, Smart Forms/Adobe Forms

- Enhancements (BADI/User Exits)

- ABAP Web Dynpro, ABAP Dictionary

- Debugging & Performance Tuning

- Proficient in advanced ABAP OOP concepts and design patterns.

- Experience working with SAP integration (IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs).

- Exposure to ABAP on HANA, Fiori/UI5 is a plus.

Leadership & Project Experience :

- Proven experience in leading SAP ABAP teams on large-scale implementation and rollout projects.

- Ability to manage distributed teams and multiple stakeholders.

- Strong project coordination, task tracking, and reporting skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- SAP certifications (ABAP, HANA, or related modules) are a plus
