SAP ABAP Developer - AMDPs/CDS View

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled ABAP Developer with deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA development to design, develop, and maintain custom SAP solutions. The role involves working closely with functional teams to understand business requirements, delivering high-quality technical solutions, and ensuring optimal system performance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Core ABAP, HANA-specific development (CDS, AMDP, RAP), and SAP Fiori/UI5 integration, along with a strong understanding of SAP business processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement custom programs, reports, forms, enhancements, and interfaces using ABAP.

- Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming) models.

- Create ALV reports, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and integrate with SAP Fiori/UI5 applications.

- Implement BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, and enhancement points to meet business requirements.

- Work closely with functional teams (FI, MM, SD, PP, etc.) to analyze business requirements.

- Translate business needs into technical specifications and propose effective solutions.

- Participate in design workshops and solution discussions.

- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning in S/4HANA environments.

- Optimize ABAP programs and CDS views for HANA database performance.

- Ensure quality standards, coding guidelines, and SAP best practices are followed.

- Integrate ABAP developments with SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and other S/4HANA applications.

- Support system upgrades, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and deployment activities.

- Prepare transport requests and manage system migrations across environments.

- Prepare and maintain technical specifications, documentation, and knowledge base articles.

- Stay updated with latest SAP technologies, tools, and development paradigms.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong experience in Core ABAP : BAPI, BADI, User Exits, ALV, SmartForms, Interfaces.

- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA technologies : CDS Views, AMDP, OData, RAP.

- Object-Oriented ABAP development experience.

- Strong performance optimization and debugging skills in HANA environments.

- Working knowledge of SAP modules : FI, MM, SD, or PP for integration points.

- Understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 integration with ABAP backend.
