Position : SAP ABAP Consultant with SCM

Location : Pune

Duration : Full-time

Job Description :

- Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient ABAP solutions, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEF-W), adhering to best practices and coding standards.

- Provide technical support for existing SAP SCM functionalities, troubleshooting issues, and implementing bug fixes in a timely manner.

- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs to ensure optimal system performance.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions, including design specifications, test plans, and deployment guides.

- Conduct thorough unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance guidelines, and security policies.

- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and ABAP development tools, including S/4HANA specific developments and Fiori/UI5 integration.

- Work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects

simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Proven experience in supporting SCM enhancements and developments.

Strong proficiency in various ABAP development aspects, including :

- Classical and Interactive Reports

- Module Pool Programming (Dialog Programming)

- Function Modules, Subroutines, and Includes

- SAP Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, BAPIs)

- Data Migration Techniques (BDC, LSMW, ABAP Workbench)

- Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, Web Services)

- Smart Forms and SAPscript

- Object-Oriented ABAP

- Debugging and Performance Tuning tools

Solid understanding and experience with SAP SCM modules, particularly in areas such as :

- SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) : DP, SNP, PP/DS, GATP (highly desirable)

- SAP MM (Materials Management) : Procurement, Inventory Management, MRP

- SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) : Order Management, Delivery Processing, Billing

- SAP LE (Logistics Execution) : Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), Transportation

Management (TM)

- Experience with S/4HANA developments (AMDP, CDS Views, OData services) is a significant

plus.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Desired Skills (Good to Have) :

- Knowledge of Workflow development (SAP Business Workflow).

- Certification in SAP ABAP or relevant SCM modules.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Ability to mentor junior developers and share knowledge
