Sankey Solutions - Power BI Developer - DAX/Query M

Key Responsibilities :

- Dashboard & Report Development : Design and develop interactive and visually compelling reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

- Data Transformation : Utilize Power Query (M language) to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.

- Data Modeling & DAX : Create and manage efficient data models.

- Write complex DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas to create custom measures, calculated columns, and tables.

- Database Integration : Connect to and query data from databases such as SQL Server and Azure SQL DB.

- ETL & Data Pipelines : Assist in the design and maintenance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support reporting needs.

- Security & Gateway Management : Implement and configure Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure data privacy and security.

- Manage and maintain the Power BI Gateway for on-premise data connectivity.

- Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide insights, and deliver data-driven solutions that support decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer.

- Power BI : Strong proficiency in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.

- Data Languages : Expertise in DAX and Power Query (M language).

- Databases : Hands-on experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL DB.

- Data Concepts : Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and star schema/snowflake schema design.

- Security & Administration : Experience with implementing RLS and managing the Power BI Gateway.

- Soft Skills : Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
