Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with 6+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of backend development, RESTful API design, cloud deployment, and front-end integrations, along with mentoring experience for junior developers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails applications.

- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party services.

- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.

- Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM frameworks (ActiveRecord).

- Implement automated testing frameworks (RSpec, Capybara, Minitest).

- Deploy and manage applications on AWS / Heroku / Docker / Kubernetes environments.

- Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.

- Mentor junior developers and support team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.

- Strong proficiency in Ruby, Rails, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Stimulus, or React/Vue/Angular.

- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), database design, and query optimization.

- Familiarity with Sidekiq/Resque/Delayed Job for background processing.

- Proficiency in Git/GitHub/GitLab version control.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

- Excellent problem-solving skills, debugging, and performance optimization expertise.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) :

- Experience with GraphQL APIs.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).

- Contribution to open-source projects or published work on GitHub.
