Job Title : Ruby on Rails Developer

Duration : 6 months contract + extendable

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and Sinatra.

- Build and maintain microservices-based architecture for scalable backend systems.

- Integrate and manage streaming and messaging services like Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift.

- Develop and optimize search functionalities using Apache SOLR.

- Work with AWS cloud services, particularly SQS, hosting, and cloud infrastructure tools.

- Implement and maintain security measures, including bot mitigation solutions (e.g., Cloudflare).

- Monitor infrastructure and application performance using tools like Datadog.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality products.

- Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and troubleshoot production issues.

- Document technical solutions and share knowledge within the team.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- 1015 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.

- Solid working knowledge of Sinatra.

- Deep understanding and implementation experience with microservices architectures.

- Experience with Kafka, ZooKeeper, and Thrift or similar platforms.

- Hands-on experience with SOLR and AWS services (especially SQS, hosting, etc.).

- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment best practices.

- Knowledge of bot mitigation and application security protocols.

- Strong command of infrastructure monitoring tools, ideally Datadog.

- Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.

- Proven ability to work effectively in agile development teams.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
