We are seeking a skilled iOS Developer to design, upgrade, and maintain our suite of hardware-integrated iOS applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, and Apple frameworks, along with expertise in Bluetooth LE (CoreBluetooth), audio/video processing (AVFoundation), and hardware integration. The iOS Developer will collaborate with project managers, backend developers, and QA teams to deliver seamless, efficient, and scalable apps used globally in automotive diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities :

iOS App Development :

- Develop and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI/UIKit.

- Ensure compatibility with the latest iOS versions and various device sizes.

- Work with real-time audio and video streaming, optimizing for field technician usage.

Hardware & Connectivity Integration :

- Implement Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication using CoreBluetooth.

- Support wired audio input/output for specialized diagnostic clamps.

- Integrate with Wi-Fi-enabled inspection cameras for MJPEG video streaming, snapshots, and

recording.

Architecture & State Management :

- Follow scalable architectures such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.

- Utilize Combine, Delegation, or NotificationCenter for event-driven programming.

API & Data Handling :

- Integrate with REST APIs for backend communication.

- Implement local storage using Core Data, Realm, or UserDefaults.

- Ensure efficient network calls with async/await or Alamofire.

Performance Optimization & Debugging :

- Profile and optimize app performance (CPU, memory, battery, and network).

- Debug and resolve connectivity issues with external hardware.

- Write unit tests to ensure reliability.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement secure storage using Keychain for sensitive data.

- Follow Apple App Store guidelines and ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR,

CCPA).

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with designers, backend developers, and QA testers to deliver reliable user experiences.

- Document technical workflows, API usage, and hardware integration steps.

Skillset and Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI/UIKit.

- Strong knowledge of CoreBluetooth, AVFoundation, CoreData, and iOS frameworks.

- Understanding of real-time audio/video capture, playback, and streaming.

- Familiarity with multithreading (GCD) and concurrency management.

App Performance & Optimization :

- Skilled in profiling apps with Instruments and Xcode Debugger.

- Experience handling background processing, offline data caching, and power-efficient design.

Security & Best Practices :

- Knowledge of secure data handling with Keychain and encrypted storage.

- Awareness of App Store review policies and best practices for compliance.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to working with external hardware or IoT devices.

- Knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) or sound frequency analysis.

- Experience with Git-based version control.
