RemitBee - Senior Backend Developer - Node.js

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer experienced in React and Node.js to join our agile team comprising developers, QA, DevOps, and founders. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both new and legacy systems that support our evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate in an agile environment with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Node.js, Express, and Sequelize.

- Develop frontend interfaces with React.js, Next.js, and Material UI.

- Write, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring code quality and reliability.

- Analyze business and system requirements, researching and recommending technology solutions.

- Implement REST and GraphQL APIs.

- Follow best practices in Test Driven Development, integration testing, version control, release management, and project planning.

- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

- Contribute actively to open-source projects.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Node.js, Express, and Sequelize.

- Strong frontend experience using React.js, Next.js, and Material UI.

- Experience with automated task runners such as Grunt or Gulp.

- Proficient with databases like MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.

- Skilled in RESTful and GraphQL API development and consumption.

- Familiarity with Git for version control.

- Passionate about writing clean, tested, and well-documented code.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
