About the Role :
We are hiring a seasoned Laravel Backend Developer to join our development team in Kolkata.
You will be responsible for building secure, high-quality backend services, APIs, and managing databases to power scalable web and mobile applications.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience with the Laravel framework, cloud deployment, and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop robust backend logic and APIs using Laravel and PHP.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and UI/UX designers to implement new features.
- Build and manage efficient MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and schema designs.
- Integrate third-party services and RESTful APIs.
- Implement user authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
- Ensure code quality through automated testing and proper documentation.
- Write clean, secure, and modular code following best development practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing systems for performance and scalability.
- Build mobile-responsive features and ensure cross-platform compatibility.
- Manage deployments on cloud infrastructure and configure CI/CD pipelines.
Required Skills :
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Laravel.
- Deep knowledge of PHP, Laravel MVC framework, and Composer.
- Strong expertise in MySQL/PostgreSQL and query optimization.
- Experience in REST API design and implementation.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend templating engines like Blade.
- Hands-on experience in cloud deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.
- Experience in CI/CD integration and modern DevOps workflows.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and agile collaboration tools (e.g, Jira, Trello).
- Understanding of OOP, design patterns, and security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with Vue.js, React, or similar JS frameworks (optional).
- Knowledge of Docker, Nginx, and Linux server administration.
- Familiarity with unit testing and TDD
