Job Description :
We are looking for an experienced Dynatrace Lead Administrator to provide L2/L3 administration and support for enterprise Application Performance Monitoring (APM) environments. The role will be responsible for Dynatrace administration, implementation, performance monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, customer engagement, and technical leadership in complex, high-availability environments.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Dynatrace administration and implementation, experience across Java, .NET, and PHP application environments, exposure to cloud implementations, and the ability to lead teams and resolve critical incidents within defined SLAs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L2/L3 administration and technical support for Dynatrace environments and APM-related services.
- Own day-to-day Dynatrace administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and service-request management.
- Demonstrate end-to-end knowledge of Dynatrace implementation, configuration, monitoring, integrations, upgrades, and operational support.
- Configure and maintain process groups, service detection rules, service monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and related Dynatrace configurations.
- Configure Dynatrace based on customer requirements and continuously adapt monitoring configurations as application landscapes evolve.
- Analyze application performance and identify key problem areas using Dynatrace metrics, traces, logs, user-experience data, and application dependencies.
- Perform Application Performance Management (APM) across Java, .NET, PHP, and other enterprise application environments.
- Conduct proof-of-concepts and technical evaluations for new Dynatrace capabilities and use cases.
- Support Dynatrace implementations in cloud environments and integrate monitoring with enterprise infrastructure and applications.
- Design and maintain Dynatrace integrations with ITSM and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Support Synthetic Monitoring implementation and monitoring strategies.
- Analyze application architecture and understand the potential business impact of application performance issues and downtime.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex incidents and performance issues and drive resolution within defined SLAs.
- Raise and manage technical support cases with Dynatrace Support, including investigation, follow-up, and closure.
- Support new projects, migrations, upgrades, enhancements, and onboarding of applications into Dynatrace.
- Provide technical consultation to project and application teams on APM strategy, monitoring design, and observability best practices.
- Guide the team in resolving critical production issues and provide technical direction during crisis situations.
- Manage workload, shift planning, and team activities to ensure effective 24x7 support coverage.
- Mentor team members and contribute to skill development and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Engage directly with customers, manage expectations, communicate technical findings, and negotiate practical solutions.
- Prepare operational reports, service reviews, dashboards, and performance summaries for stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in monitoring, automation, incident resolution, observability, and APM practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 - 12 years of experience in Dynatrace administration, APM, observability, monitoring, or related infrastructure/application support roles.
- Dynatrace Associate Certification is mandatory.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Dynatrace administration and configuration.
- Proven experience with Dynatrace implementation and end-to-end administration.
- Strong understanding of APM concepts and application performance monitoring.
- Experience supporting applications built on Java, .NET, and PHP.
- Expertise in configuring process groups, service detection rules, monitoring, dashboards, alerting, and application dependencies.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform and cloud-based application monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace integrations, preferably with ITSM platforms.
- Good understanding of Synthetic Monitoring and its implementation.
- Strong troubleshooting, technical fault-isolation, root-cause-analysis, and performance-analysis skills.
- Strong understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux commands and enterprise application environments.
- Experience working in high-availability and 24x7 production environments.
- Proven experience handling critical incidents and resolving issues within defined SLAs.
- Experience managing customer expectations and working directly with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating technical teams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Education:
- BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
