Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Terraform, AWS infrastructure provisioning, GitLab CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate must have practical experience designing and provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform, developing reusable modules, and automating infrastructure deployments through CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Terraform configurations and reusable modules for AWS infrastructure provisioning.

- Provision and manage AWS resources, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, EC2, Auto Scaling, load balancers, IAM, S3, RDS, and EKS.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using Terraform variables, outputs, data sources, modules, workspaces, remote backends, and state locking.

- Manage Terraform lifecycle operations, including initialization, validation, planning, deployment, destruction, and state troubleshooting.

- Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines using .gitlab-ci.yml and GitLab runners to automate Terraform validation, planning, and infrastructure deployment.

- Integrate Terraform workflows with Git, branching strategies, merge requests, code reviews, approvals, and controlled deployment processes.

- Implement DevSecOps practices, including IaC security scanning, policy validation, vulnerability checks, secrets management, and compliance controls.

- Apply AWS security best practices, including IAM roles and policies, least-privilege access, secure authentication, and network security.

- Troubleshoot Terraform deployment failures, AWS infrastructure issues, state inconsistencies, and CI/CD pipeline failures.

- Collaborate with cloud and platform engineering teams to design secure, scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes using scripting and CI/CD tools.

- Support containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS where required.

Requirements :

- 6 - 10 years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or related engineering roles.

- Expert-level hands-on experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.

- Strong experience with AWS services, particularly VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, load balancers, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, and AWS networking.

- Proven experience developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state, state locking, workspaces, and multi-environment deployments.

- Strong hands-on experience creating and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab runners, .gitlab-ci.yml, automated Terraform workflows, and deployment approvals.

- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Git, CI/CD, and infrastructure change management.

- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including IaC scanning tools such as Checkov, tfsec, or TFLint, secrets management, and security compliance.

- Strong understanding of AWS IAM, security groups, network security, and least-privilege access.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues independently.
