Role Overview :
As a RAN RLC RRC C++ Developer, you will be at the core of our wireless software engineering team, driving the design and implementation of critical protocol stack components for 5G and LTE networks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams of systems architects and protocol engineers to translate 3GPP specifications into high-performance, production-grade C++ code. Your contributions will directly influence the throughput, latency, and reliability of radio access networks, ensuring our clients maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving global telecommunications landscape.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and implement complex protocol stack features within the RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers to ensure seamless data transmission and control plane signaling.
- Optimize C++ codebases for performance and memory efficiency to meet the stringent real-time processing requirements of 5G RAN environments.
- Collaborate with system integration teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the MAC and upper layers, ensuring end-to-end protocol compliance.
- Analyze and interpret evolving 3GPP standards to translate technical requirements into modular, maintainable software designs.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and unit testing to maintain high software quality standards and minimize regression in critical network functions.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in C++ development within embedded or real-time environments, with a deep understanding of multi-threading and memory management.
- Proven ability to design and debug protocol stack layers, specifically RLC, RRC, PDCP, and MAC, within LTE and 5G architectures.
- Strong grasp of 3GPP specifications and the ability to apply these standards to practical software implementation challenges.
- Excellent analytical skills to decompose complex telecommunication problems into actionable technical tasks, coupled with the ability to communicate these solutions to stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively in a hybrid team environment based in Bangalore, contributing to technical discussions and mentoring junior engineers.
- A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Telecommunications engineering, reflecting a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and network protocols.
