Job Summary :

We are looking for a QA / Reconciliation Engineer to independently validate migrated BI reports and ensure accuracy, functionality, performance, and security. The role will focus on building comparison suites, validating KPIs, filters, calculations, visuals, and security, testing refresh and performance, retesting defects, and approving or rejecting migration packages based on defined validation criteria.

Must-Have Skills :

- 4 - 8 years of experience in BI, Data QA, or related testing roles.

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and reconciliation.

- Experience with Power BI and Tableau.

- Strong understanding of BI report validation and reconciliation processes.

- Experience validating KPIs, filters, calculations, and visualizations.

- Experience testing report and dashboard security.

- Experience testing data refresh and report performance.

- Strong debugging and defect analysis skills.

- Experience with automation for BI/data validation and testing.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to independently validate migrated BI reports and identify discrepancies.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience building automated comparison or reconciliation suites.

- Experience working on BI migration or modernization projects.

- Exposure to automated BI/data testing frameworks.

- Experience validating migrated reports across Tableau and Power BI.

- Experience with defect tracking, retesting, and validation cycles.

- Strong understanding of BI reporting and data quality practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Independently validate migrated BI reports against the expected source and business outcomes.

- Build and maintain comparison suites to support systematic report reconciliation.

- Validate KPIs, filters, calculations, and business logic across migrated reports.

- Compare and validate visuals to ensure accuracy and consistency with the expected reports.

- Validate report and dashboard security, including appropriate access and visibility.

- Test data refresh processes to ensure reports are updated accurately and reliably.

- Perform performance testing and identify issues affecting report usability or responsiveness.

- Identify, document, and analyze defects or discrepancies found during migration validation.

- Retest defects after remediation and confirm that issues have been successfully resolved.

- Perform data and report reconciliation using SQL and BI tools.

- Approve or reject migration packages based on defined validation and reconciliation criteria.

- Collaborate with development and migration teams to resolve identified defects and discrepancies.

Qualification :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
