Role Overview :

We are looking for a skilled QA Lead who can take complete ownership of the testing lifecycle for web and API-based applications. The candidate must have strong technical expertise in automation, solid manual testing experience, and the ability to mentor and guide a QA team while ensuring high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Coordination :

- Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure high-quality execution.

- Establish, refine, and enforce QA processes, standards, and best practices.

- Work closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to support delivery goals.

Test Planning & Strategy :

- Develop end-to-end test strategies, test plans, and scenarios.

- Ensure proper test data management and complete functional and non-functional coverage.

- Prioritise testing activities based on risk and release timelines.

Automation Framework & Execution :

- Build and maintain automation frameworks using Cypress, Selenium, and POM.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for UI and API testing.

- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

Manual Testing Oversight :

- Conduct exploratory and usability testing where required.

- Oversee regression, sanity, and cross-browser testing activities.

- Validate new features and ensure stable releases.

Defect & Quality Management :

- Track, analyze, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools.

- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure preventive actions are implemented.

- Monitor quality metrics and drive improvements across QA processes.

Documentation & Communication :

- Maintain documentation including test cases, test reports, and release sign-offs.

- Provide regular testing status updates and highlight risks to stakeholders.

- Participate in demos and release readiness discussions.

Required Skills :

- 7+ years of QA experience (automation + manual).

- Strong hands-on experience with Cypress, Selenium, and POM frameworks.

- Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies.

- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Proven leadership experience managing QA teams.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience testing web applications and API-based systems.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows.

- QA certification (ISTQB or similar).
