Role : QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly accurate and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with 35 years of experience to join our team in Pune.

The primary responsibility is to design, implement, and maintain scalable test automation solutions.

This role requires 3+ years of dedicated experience as a test automation engineer, expert proficiency in C# and the Selenium framework, and strong problem-solving skills to manage the entire automation lifecycle, from strategy and framework design to execution and defect management.

Primary Responsibility & Core Functions :

Test Automation Strategy and Planning :

- Applying various design patterns and thoroughly documenting the automation test strategy across all required testing types.

- Identifying and selecting the appropriate automation test cases for various scopes, including UI, UAT, Unit, Regression, and Stress testing.

- Creating a comprehensive automation test plan and securing necessary approval from stakeholders.

Framework Design and Implementation :

- Automating the design of the core testing framework architecture.

- Implementing the automation framework strictly as per the structure and technical requirements of the current project.

- Configuring the Test Environment (STE) in order to successfully set up and isolate testing activities.

Script Development and Execution :

- Creating, enhancing, debugging, and running the automated test cases to ensure reliable and repeatable testing.

- Coming up with exact technical solutions for complex problems related to object identity (e.g., dynamic locators) and effective error handling within the scripts.

Quality Assurance and Process Management :

- Collating and actively monitoring the defect management process, ensuring timely tracking and resolution of bugs.

- Managing the changes in the application under test and efficiently executing regression tests following each deployment cycle.

- Researching issues in software through testing to identify root causes and potential improvements.

- Interacting with customers/clients to solve various issues they face, providing clear and timely updates on the situation.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 35 years of professional experience in QA Automation Engineering, with 3+ years dedicated experience as an automation engineer.

- Programming Proficiency : Mandatory proficiency in programming languages such as C#.

- Frameworks : Expert experience with testing frameworks like Selenium for web automation.

- Problem Solving : Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills for complex scripting and error handling.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, software development, or a related field.

- Accuracy : Highly accurate and detail-oriented approach to test design and execution.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Performance/Stress testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

- Familiarity with database testing using SQL.

- Experience with source control systems (Git).
