Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Python Programmer with SAS development and migration expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAS application development, SAS-to-Python migration, and building scalable solutions in modern data environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using SAS and Python.

- Perform SAS-to-Python migration, converting existing SAS programs, data pipelines, and statistical models into Python-based frameworks.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze existing SAS processes and define migration strategies.

- Ensure performance optimization, data accuracy, and compliance during migration.

- Develop reusable Python modules, automation scripts, and frameworks.

- Work with data engineering and analytics teams to integrate SAS/Python solutions with databases, cloud platforms, and reporting tools.

- Support deployment, testing, and validation of migrated applications.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance and scalability.

Required Skills :

- Strong Python programming skills (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark preferred).

- Hands-on experience with SAS programming (Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, SAS Data Step).

- Proven experience in SAS-to-Python migration projects.

- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).

- Experience in ETL pipelines, data processing, and automation.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Good to Have :

- Knowledge of machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, statsmodels).

- Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Power BI, Tableau).

- Exposure to DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD).

- Experience in BFSI / Healthcare domain (where SAS is widely used).

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 58 years of professional experience in Python and SAS development.
