Role : Remote /Freelance Python Developer

Location : Remote (within EMEA time zones preferred).

About the Role :

We are seeking a talented and motivated Python Developer to join our distributed engineering team.

You will work on developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs.

This is a fully remote role, and we are looking for candidates who are based in or can work comfortably within EMEA time zones.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy Python-based backend applications and services.

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs or integrate with third-party APIs.

- Collaborate closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, product managers, and QA teams.

- Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and agile development processes.

- Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.

Requirements :

- 2-7+ years of experience in backend development using Python.

- Proficiency with at least one Python web framework (e.g., Django, Flask, or FastAPI).

- Experience working with REST APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar), and ORMs.

- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.

- Understanding of software development best practices including testing, CI/CD, and documentation.

- Comfortable working in a remote, agile, and cross-functional environment.

- Excellent communication skills in English.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes is a plus).

- Experience with async programming (e.g., asyncio, aiohttp).

- Familiarity with microservices architecture.

- Experience working in a distributed, international team.
