Python Backend Engineer

About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Python Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is critical in helping us design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services with an emphasis on clean RESTful API design, robust authentication, and frontend integration. Our current focus includes expanding our AI capabilities, integrating CI/CD pipelines, and building a cloud-native architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

Backend Development :

- Follow standard RESTful API development practices including versioning, pagination, error handling, and logging.

- Write and maintain unit and integration test cases to ensure code quality.

- Implement secure and scalable authentication mechanisms (OAuth2.0, JWT, session-based, API keys, etc.).

Frontend Integration :

- Handle SSO workflows, session management, and common frontend-backend security flows (CORS, token handling).

DevOps & Infrastructure :

- Deploy and manage backend services across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Ensure observability, reliability, and scalability across deployments.

Must-Have Skills :

Backend :

- Python + Any Python Framework (Django, Flask, etc.)

- Unit + Integration Testing (e.g., Pytest, unittest)

- Standard RESTful API Design Practices

- Authentication mechanisms (OAuth2.0, JWT, etc.)

Frontend :

- API Integration between React and backend

- Experience with SSO and session management

CI/CD : Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

Cloud : Deployment or integration experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

Good-to-Have Skills :

DevOps : Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

AI/ML : Understanding of AI/ML pipelines and GenAI concepts

Preferred Traits :

- Ability to debug and troubleshoot production-grade services.

- Eager to learn and contribute to cross-functional teams (AI, DevOps, Product).
