About The Opportunity :

- A fast-growing IT services and product engineering company operating in enterprise software, cloud-native applications, and SaaS solutions.

- We build scalable back-end systems and APIs that power web and mobile applications for global customers across B2B and marketplace domains.

- Primary title (optimized for search) : Senior Python Backend Engineer.

Role & Responsibilities :

- Design, build and maintain robust, secure Python back-end services and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.

- Develop and document RESTful APIs, data models and integration layers that support high-throughput, low-latency applications.

- Optimize database schemas and queries with PostgreSQL and implement caching strategies for performance and scalability.

- Containerize services with Docker and collaborate on cloud deployments (CI/CD pipelines, automation, and release processes).

- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices for reliability and observability.

- Work cross-functionally with product, frontend, and QA teams to translate requirements into production-ready features and mentor junior engineers.

Skills & Qualifications :

Must-Have :

- Proven backend development experience building production Python services (Senior-level, ~5 years).

- Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django for building RESTful APIs.

- Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL, query optimization, and schema design.

- Practical knowledge of Docker and container-based development workflows.

- Experience writing automated tests and using CI/CD tools to deliver reliable releases.

- Familiarity with microservices architecture, performance tuning, and security best practices.

Preferred :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and deployment orchestration.

- Familiarity with message queues or background job frameworks (Celery, RabbitMQ) and caching (Redis).

- Exposure to container orchestration (Kubernetes) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
