Database Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Database Manager to lead and manage enterprise-wide Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving database strategy, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, security, governance, and operational excellence across critical business systems.

Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

- 16-19 years of overall IT experience with extensive expertise in MSSQL and Oracle database administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and execute the overall database management strategy for MSSQL and Oracle environments.

- Lead database modernization initiatives, automation programs, and continuous improvement efforts.

- Establish database governance frameworks, standards, policies, and operational procedures.

- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

- Lead performance tuning initiatives for databases, queries, indexes, and stored procedures.

- Design and maintain robust backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Define and enforce database security policies, standards, and access controls.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and infrastructure teams.

- Lead database-related incident, problem, and change management processes.
