Job Title : PostgreSQL Database Administrator.

Location : Pune.

As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA), you will own the architecture, design, and management of PostgreSQL databases with a strong focus on optimal schema structure and rationale behind database design decisions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Implement, maintain, and monitor multi-tenant, multi-layer application databases ensuring scalability, performance, and data security.

- Demonstrate robust Linux system concepts and integrate systems-level understanding into database management and troubleshooting.

- Manage high-availability clusters and architect reliable backup and restore strategies, validating disaster recovery capabilities regularly.

- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and support teams to optimize database schemas and performance, supporting business needs and application requirements.

- Utilize strong analytical skills to justify schema decisions based on business logic and system demands.

Qualifications :

- Preferable to have relevant PostgreSQL certifications (such as Certified PostgreSQL DBA Associate).

- Required education : Engineers degree in Electronics & Communications or Computers, or Bachelors in Computers/related field.

- Experience : 2-4 years as a PostgreSQL DBA in complex environments.

- Good scripting knowledge (preferably Bash, Python) and familiarity with monitoring, performance tuning, and automation within PostgreSQL and Linux contexts.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including clear reasoning for database architecture choices.
