Job Overview :

We are seeking a Big Data Specialist Project Manager (AI & BI) to lead large-scale data engineering, analytics, and AI-driven BI initiatives. This role requires a blend of technical depth in big data platforms and cloud technologies along with strong project and stakeholder management skills.

The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end delivery of AI, Business Intelligence, and Advanced Analytics projects, working closely with data engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :

Project & Program Management :

- Lead and manage AI, BI, and Big Data projects from initiation to delivery.

- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

- Track progress, manage risks, dependencies, and ensure on-time delivery.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineering, data science, BI, and cloud teams.

- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders and leadership.

Big Data & Cloud Architecture :

- Oversee design and implementation of Big Data solutions using AWS and Databricks.

- Guide teams on scalable data lake and lakehouse architectures.

- Ensure best practices for data ingestion, transformation, storage, and governance.

- Review and approve technical designs, data pipelines, and architecture decisions.

AI, Analytics & Data Science Enablement :

- Manage delivery of AI/ML-driven analytics solutions for business use cases.

- Collaborate with data scientists on model development, validation, and deployment.

- Enable advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and intelligent reporting.

- Ensure alignment of AI solutions with business KPIs and outcomes.

BI & Data Visualization :

- Lead BI initiatives using Power BI, Tableau, and Python-based visualizations.

- Ensure development of interactive dashboards, reports, and executive insights.

- Establish data visualization standards, performance optimization, and governance.

- Translate complex data into meaningful business insights.

Stakeholder & Business Collaboration :

- Work closely with business leaders to understand analytics and reporting needs.

- Translate business requirements into technical execution plans.

- Present insights, project status, and outcomes to senior leadership.

- Drive adoption of AI and BI solutions across the organization.

Governance, Quality & Compliance :

- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across platforms.

- Establish best practices for documentation, versioning, and audit readiness.

- Monitor performance, cost optimization, and cloud usage efficiency.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in Big Data platforms and analytics

- Hands-on exposure to AWS cloud services

- Experience with Databricks (data engineering, analytics, lakehouse)

- Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau

- Good understanding of AI/ML technologies and data science workflows

- Experience using Python for analytics, automation, or visualization

- Knowledge of data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and cloud-native architectures

Project Management Skills :

- Proven experience managing AI, BI, or Data Analytics projects

- Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum / Hybrid project delivery models

- Excellent risk management, planning, and execution skills

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Soft Skills :

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

- PMP / Agile / Cloud certifications are a plus

- Experience with data governance and metadata management

- Exposure to MLOps and model lifecycle management

- Cost optimization and performance tuning on cloud platforms

- Experience working with senior leadership and CXO-level stakeholders
