Job Title : Product Manager - Observability

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Product Manager - Observability to drive data-driven decisions that enhance system reliability and customer experience. You will define product vision and roadmap, collaborate across teams, and translate user needs into clear deliverables. The role includes leading MVP discovery, running experiments, and ensuring effective sprint execution. The ideal candidate brings strong stakeholder management, a user-centric mindset, and change leadership skills, along with expertise in observability (logs, metrics, traces), distributed systems, and APIs/backend systems within DevOps CI/CD environments.

Key Requirements :

- Experience with tools such as New Relic, Splunk, Grafana, VM, and OpenTelemetry is essential, along with 4-5 years of product management experience and a proven ability to solve complex problems using data-driven approaches.

- Strong scripting and automation skills, with expertise in Python, Bash, or similar languages.

- Experience in Data structures using Elasticsearch Indices.

- Experience in writing Data Ingestion Pipelines using Logstash.

- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Good to have Telecom domain expertise but not mandatory.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute the product strategy for internal observability services, ensuring our monitoring and alerting infrastructure scales seamlessly with our growing microservices architecture.

- Collaborate with SRE teams to identify gaps in current telemetry data, prioritizing features that improve system health visibility and incident response efficiency.

- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for observability tools, from gathering requirements from internal stakeholders to overseeing the deployment and adoption of new monitoring solutions.

- Analyze usage patterns and performance metrics of our platform services to drive data-backed decisions that optimize infrastructure costs and service reliability.

- Evangelize best practices in observability across the engineering organization, fostering a culture of proactive monitoring and data-driven system optimization.
