Product Engineering & Development Lead

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Product Engineering Leadership :

- Lead and manage end-to-end product engineering lifecycle from ideation and design to development, testing, deployment, and support

- Partner closely with Product Management, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-impact product features

- Translate product roadmaps and business requirements into executable engineering plans

Architecture & Technical Strategy :

- Define and own system architecture, design standards, and engineering best practices

- Drive adoption of scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures

- Review and approve technical designs, ensuring alignment with long-term product strategy

- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and tools

Team & People Management :

- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing product engineering teams

- Conduct regular code and design reviews to maintain engineering excellence

- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

- Support hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development

Delivery & Execution :

- Own engineering delivery commitments, ensuring on-time, high-quality releases

- Establish and track engineering KPIs such as velocity, quality, reliability, and technical debt

- Drive Agile/Scrum practices, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives

- Identify risks early and proactively manage dependencies and escalations

Quality, Security & Reliability :

- Ensure adherence to SDLC, security, compliance, and data privacy standards

- Collaborate with QA to implement robust automated testing strategies

- Drive reliability, availability, and performance improvements across products

- Support production releases, monitoring, and incident resolution

Stakeholder & Business Collaboration :

- Act as the primary engineering POC for senior leadership and business stakeholders

- Provide regular updates on delivery status, risks, and technical initiatives

- Support customer escalations and critical issue resolution when required

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills :

- 10- 15 years of experience in software/product engineering

- Strong hands-on experience in modern tech stacks (Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, etc.)

- Experience with microservices architecture, APIs, cloud-native development

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Solid understanding of database design (SQL & NoSQL)

Preferred / Good to Have :

- Experience in SaaS or product-based companies

- Exposure to AI/ML, Data Platforms, or Platform Engineering

- Experience with system scalability, performance optimization, and high-availability systems

- Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory standards
