Role Overview :
The Product Analyst is an advanced, quantitative role requiring 2 to 5 Years of experience focusing on leveraging statistical rigor and machine learning techniques to drive product lifecycle decisions and strategic growth.
Based in Bangalore, the incumbent must possess mandatory Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for scripting complex analytical workflows, model evaluation, and developing predictive insights within a high-velocity data environment.
Job Summary :
We are seeking an analytically sophisticated Product Analyst (2 to 5 years experience) with mandatory strong expertise in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and tracking key product metrics, designing and analyzing A/B tests with statistical significance, and operationalizing predictive insights.
Core duties include evaluating complex analytical and machine learning models, scripting automated reporting pipelines (ETL/ELT), and translating complex time-series data and cohort analyses into clear, data-driven narratives for executive stakeholders to directly influence the product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :
Advanced Data Extraction, Modeling, and Scripting :
- Extract insights from large-scale, complex datasets stored in analytical data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) using Advanced SQL techniques (Window Functions, CTEs, optimization) to perform cohort, funnel, and time-series analysis.
- Utilize Strong Python skills (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) to perform statistical modeling, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and validate data quality (DQ) checks within analytical pipelines.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance of analytical models (e.g., propensity, churn prediction, classification) using appropriate metrics (e.g., AUC, precision-recall) and drive predictive insights back into the product organization.
Product Metrics, Experimentation, and Statistical Rigor :
- Define, track, and operationalize key product metrics (KPIs), ensuring data lineage and consistency across all reporting layers; proactively identify and solve real-time issues related to data anomalies or drift.
- Design and analyze A/B tests and multivariate experiments, ensuring statistical significance and robust calculation of lift and confidence intervals to validate product hypotheses.
- Implement and manage tracking for custom event schema and user journey mapping to derive deep behavioral insights.
Automation, Reporting, and Strategic Influence :
- Automate reports and data workflows by scripting efficient ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Python, improving data efficiency, and maintaining scheduled jobs via orchestration tools (Exposure to Airflow/Prefect is a plus).
- Leverage Advanced Excel expertise for complex sensitivity analysis, financial modeling, and preparing executive summaries.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to define technical measurement requirements and influence feature prioritization based on quantitative evidence.
- Demonstrate the Ability to convert complex statistical data and findings into clear, actionable business stories for non-technical leadership.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :
- Core Technology : Strong SQL + Python skills (mandatory hands-on experience with analytical libraries like Pandas).
- Analysis : Advanced Excel expertise and proven ability to perform statistical analysis (A/B testing, regression).
- Storytelling : Ability to convert data into clear business stories for strategic decision-making.
- Experience : 2 to 5 Years of relevant experience in a Product or Data Analyst role.
Preferred Skills :
- Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) for building advanced, interactive dashboards.
- Experience with specialized product analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel) and event tracking methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of cloud data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery).
