We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end web services and the interchange of data between the server and users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from remote clients.


Since these web services are accessed 24/7/365 with many terabytes of throughput, your code will have to meet a high standard of resilience and performance. For internal-to-company web applications, you will also be responsible for integrating front-end elements into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.


Responsibilities :


- Server-Side Development : Develop and maintain all server-side logic and core back-end web services.


- Database Management : Maintain the central database, create database schemas, and ensure data integrity.


- Performance & Scalability : Write high-performance, resilient code and apply fundamental design principles for a scalable application.


- API Integration : Integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system.


- Security : Implement user authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments. You'll also be responsible for understanding and addressing common web server exploits.


- Front-End Integration : Integrate front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS into our internal web applications.


Required Skills & Qualifications :


- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks and object-oriented PHP programming.


- High proficiency in MySQL, including query language and optimization.


- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance, as well as common web exploits and their solutions.


- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.


- Proficient use of code versioning tools like Subversion or Git.


- Familiarity with PHP's limitations and how to work around them.
