We are looking for a detail-oriented ETL / BI Tester to join our QA team. The candidate will be responsible for validating end-to-end data flows across ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and Business Intelligence (BI) reports/dashboards. The role requires strong SQL skills, a solid understanding of ETL processes, and expertise in testing BI tools to ensure accurate data representation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

- Review and analyze business requirements, data mapping documents, and report specifications.

- Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans for ETL and BI layers.

- Validate ETL workflows to ensure accurate extraction, transformation, and loading of data.

- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and data integrity checks across source and target systems.

- Test BI dashboards, KPIs, visualizations, and reports (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Cognos, etc.).

- Validate report calculations, aggregations, drill-throughs, and filters against business logic.

- Write and execute complex SQL queries for backend and front-end data validation.

- Perform functional, regression, system integration, and UAT testing of ETL & BI solutions.

- Track and log defects in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM) and collaborate with developers for resolution.

- Ensure compliance with data governance, accuracy, and quality standards.

- Support automation initiatives for ETL/BI testing wherever possible.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

- 6 to 10 years of experience in ETL testing, BI testing, or Data Warehouse testing.

- Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, joins, stored procedures, etc.).

- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.).

- Experience testing BI/Reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, or MicroStrategy.

- Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data modeling (star/snowflake schema), and reporting layers.

- Experience in defect tracking tools (JIRA, HP ALM, Bugzilla, etc.).

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, GCP BigQuery).

- Experience with big data ecosystems (Hive, Spark, Hadoop).

- Knowledge of automation frameworks for data/BI testing (QuerySurge, Selenium with DB, Python scripts).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
