ABOUT THE ROLE :

Are you an experienced Principal platform engineer ready to lead and build the next generation of cloud-native SaaS products? My Client is looking for a Principal Platform Engineer to take the reins of our cloud platform architecture and implementation.

This is a pivotal role for a seasoned technologist who brings deep expertise in cloud-native development, especially on AWS, and has a passion for building scalable, secure, and event-driven SaaS platforms.

In other words, we are looking for someone who can architect, build, and lead development of scalable, event-driven, and serverless applications on AWS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Architect & Build scalable, secure, and efficient platform modules aligned with Company vision and business goals.

- Lead end-to-end implementation of platform solutions across development, testing, and deployment stages.

- Mentor and guide platform engineers, conducting code reviews and enabling skill development.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, UI/UX, and DevOps to deliver seamless platform capabilities.

- Drive adoption of Python, serverless architecture, and event-driven systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence platform strategy.

- Stay ahead of the curve on cloud tech, ensuring our platform remains future-ready and innovative.

- Contribute to setting the technical strategy and vision in close partnership with senior engineering leadership.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

Must Have :

- Expert in Python, with a focus on writing production-grade, scalable code.

- Strong hands-on experience with serverless architecture, microservices, and event-driven systems.

- Proven success in designing and deploying SaaS platforms on AWS.

- Deep understanding of AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, S3, etc.) and architectural best practices.

- Demonstrated leadership in technology design, team mentorship, and project execution.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have ( Will be added Advantage)

- AWS certifications (Architect / Developer).

- Experience with Boto3 SDK.

- Familiarity with Azure/GCP.

- Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.
