Responsibilities :
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our dynamic Information Technology team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to lead architectural build and implementation of innovative automation frameworks that support Responsible AI governance across the enterprise.
This role leads the design, build, and scale of automation frameworks that enable Responsible AI governance across the enterprise. The engineer will own Python-based platforms that integrate risk, compliance, security, and AI lifecycle workflows-ensuring AI systems are auditable, compliant, and resilient.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role with strong architectural ownership and cross functional influence.
Job Responsibilities :
- Build scalable Python-based pipelines, governance utilities, risk-signal processors, and workflow engines.
- Build and develop enterprise-grade connectors and integrations with Information Security and risk platforms, Credo, Coupa, ServiceNow, and other internal platforms.
- Drive engineering roadmap for AI Governance tooling and automation; own backlog planning and prioritization.
- Build metadata ingestion components, validation logic, and orchestration modules to streamline assessment workflows.
- Improve observability, auditability, resilience, and performance of AI governance systems.
- Collaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Engineering, and Data teams to embed governance requirements into engineering build.
- Conduct build reviews, code reviews, and enforce engineering guidelines.
- Mentor and support junior developers and contractors; provide technical leadership for India engineering footprint.
- Represent AI Governance engineering in architectural discussions, cross-functional forums, and enterprise governance initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Strong architectural skills: crafting enterprise-grade integrations, scalable pipelines, and resilient workflows.
- Experience integrating with platforms such as ServiceNow, Coupa, ISR, Credo, or similar enterprise systems.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML, GenAI, agent frameworks, or MLOps concepts (preferred).
- Experience building automation engines, services that connect different software, validation frameworks, and metadata systems.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams, mentor developers, and drive technical direction.
- Experience working with governance, compliance, risk frameworks (preferred).
- Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments; strong communication and collaborator engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving, build thinking, and ability to manage complex technical initiatives.
