We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead the architectural vision and evolution of a modern, resilient, and AI - powered banking SaaS platform.

The role will drive technology strategy across multiple banking products, ensuring a scalable, secure, high - performing, and extensible architecture across SaaS, single - tenant hosted, and customer - managed environments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud - native and distributed systems architecture, platform modernization, DevOps, and enterprise - scale SaaS solutions, along with experience in assisted banking, ATMs, kiosks, financial self - service, and branch banking device integrations.

You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, Enterprise Architecture, SRE, and DevOps teams to establish architectural standards, manage cross - platform dependencies, improve operational efficiency, and drive long - term technology innovation.

Key Areas of Responsibility :

- Define and drive the platform architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, security, modularity, resilience, and long - term maintainability.

- Lead the evolution of assisted banking platforms, including integration with ATMs, kiosks, TCRs, PIN pads, scanners, printers, and other branch devices.

- Champion cloud - native, domain driven, microservices, and event - driven architecture principles across engineering teams.

- Drive architectural governance through Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and establish standards for APIs, system design, security, observability, and integrations.

- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and Professional Services to align technology architecture with product and business strategy.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to incorporate AI/ML, analytics, automation, and personalization into platform capabilities.

- Evaluate third - party platforms, emerging technologies, and vendor solutions through technical assessments and proof - of - concepts.

- Work closely with InfoSec, SRE, and DevOps to ensure platform reliability, security, compliance, performance, and operational excellence.

- Create and maintain key architecture artifacts including solution blueprints, technical designs, integration patterns, and dependency maps.

- Provide hands - on technical leadership through mentoring, design/code reviews, POCs, and development of critical platform components.

- Identify and manage architectural risks and cross - team dependencies across products and systems.

- Own and communicate the technology roadmap, driving cloud modernization, platform standardization, cost optimization, and continuous innovation.

Key Qualifications :

- 14+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture.

- Strong experience designing large - scale, distributed, multi - tenant, and event - driven platforms supporting real - time financial transactions.

- Deep expertise in cloud - native architecture using AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, containers, microservices, and service mesh.

- Experience with banking/fintech platforms and standards such as ISO 20022, Open Banking, FDX, ANSI X9, and CPA standards.

- Exposure to ATM, kiosk, branch banking, edge - device, or financial self - service integrations is highly desirable.

- Understanding of Unified Communications and Contact Center platforms, including video, messaging, SMS/MMS, and related integrations.

- Hands - on experience incorporating AI/ML capabilities into enterprise products and platform architecture.

- Strong knowledge of financial security, regulatory, data privacy, and compliance requirements.

- Strong expertise in SRE, DevOps, CI/CD, observability, reliability, and automation, using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Google Cloud Build.

- Proven ability to provide technical and architectural leadership across multiple engineering teams and drive organization - wide technology standards.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Security, SRE, and DevOps teams.

- Strong automation first mindset, focused on platform scalability, operational efficiency, reliability, and reducing manual processes.
