Job Summary :

We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist to act as a thought leader and subject matter expert, pioneering transformative AI/ML projects across the organization.

The ideal candidate will leverage advanced mathematical and optimization techniques, drive key research initiatives, and streamline AI infrastructure through technical advisory and hands-on deliverables, ensuring the highest standards of innovation and impact.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

- Pioneering AI/ML Projects: Lead and drive impactful AI/ML projects from conceptualization through to production, focusing on generating significant business value and setting new industry benchmarks.

- AI Infrastructure Advisory: Streamline AI infrastructure by providing cutting-edge advisory and deliverance on MLOps, platform architecture, and scalable deployment strategies.

- Advanced Modelling and Optimization: Demonstrate mandatory expertise with respect to Optimization, Mathematical modelling, and signal processing, applying these advanced quantitative techniques to solve complex, real-world business problems.

- Research and Innovation: Drive Key Research initiatives through strategic academic collaborations, resulting in demonstrable innovation in the AI field.

- Scholastic Accomplishments: Leverage and build upon a history of scholastic accomplishments, including authored publications and mentorship, propelling the organization's innovation agenda.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary technical interface for cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Business) to effectively translate high-level research and models into production-ready solutions.

- Technical Mentorship: Provide senior-level technical mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level data scientists and engineers.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience: 10+ years of substantial exposure in the Data Science Industry or more, having successfully driven impactful AI/ML projects.

- Quantitative Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in Optimization, Mathematical modelling, and signal processing.

- Research Acumen: Proven track record of key research contributions, including authored publications or significant academic collaboration.

- Educational Background (Mandatory): Strong Educational Background in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or Engineering.

- Advanced Degrees (Highly Preferred): Candidates who have completed Bachelors, Masters, as well as PhD (more preferable) in the aforementioned branches.

- Institution Pedigree: Degrees must be obtained from reputed institutions such as IITs, BITs Pilani, or internationally equivalent institutions.

Preferred Skills :

- Deep experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Dask) and cloud-based AI/ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, Azure ML).

- Proficiency in advanced programming languages relevant to Data Science (Python, R) and associated libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

- Experience architecting and deploying real-time machine learning inference systems
