About the Role :


We are seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Architect Insurance Platform Architecture to lead enterprise-wide insurance platform transformation initiatives. The role will focus on modernizing the insurance technology ecosystem through Skylark (EIS Suite) and Earnix, enabling scalable, cloud-native, AI-driven, and customer-centric insurance operations.


The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in insurance platform architecture, enterprise integration, policy administration systems, and cloud modernization. This role requires strong collaboration with business and technology leadership teams to define architecture strategy, governance standards, migration roadmaps, and enterprise integration frameworks.


The architect will play a key role in transforming legacy insurance systems into a modern digital ecosystem supporting underwriting, policy administration, billing, claims, rating, and pricing capabilities.


Key Responsibilities :


- Lead enterprise insurance platform architecture initiatives across policy administration, billing, claims, underwriting, and pricing systems.


- Define and govern architecture standards for Skylark (EIS Suite) and Earnix implementations.


- Drive modernization and migration strategies from legacy insurance platforms to cloud-native ecosystems.


- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing enterprise insurance solutions.


- Collaborate with business leaders, platform owners, product teams, and enterprise architects to align technology strategy with business objectives.


- Establish architectural guardrails, integration standards, and enterprise design principles.


- Lead end-to-end integration architecture across insurance platforms, third-party applications, APIs, middleware, and external ecosystems.


- Enable advanced rating and pricing capabilities through Earnix integration and optimization.


- Drive automation, AI-enabled workflows, and digital transformation initiatives across insurance operations.


- Provide technical leadership during architecture reviews, solution design, implementation planning, and governance processes.


- Lead cloud transformation initiatives including microservices adoption, API-first architecture, and event-driven systems.


- Mentor architecture and engineering teams on best practices, platform capabilities, and enterprise solution design.


- Ensure compliance with security, scalability, performance, and regulatory standards.


- Support strategic transformation programs and enterprise technology roadmaps.


- Partner with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Expertise :


- Strong hands-on experience with EXIGEN / EIS Suite versions 20, 14, and 12.


- Expertise in at least two insurance modules among Policy, Claims, Billing, and Pricing.


- Strong enterprise integration experience with APIs, middleware, messaging systems, and external platforms.


- Deep understanding of insurance platform architecture and policy administration systems.


- Hands-on experience with Earnix integration and insurance pricing/rating solutions.


- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.


- Experience in enterprise modernization and legacy system transformation programs.


- Expertise in REST APIs, SOAP services, event-driven architecture, and integration frameworks.


- Strong understanding of P&C insurance domain processes and workflows.


- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment models.


- Strong understanding of security architecture, scalability, and compliance frameworks.


- Experience with data architecture, enterprise integration patterns, and workflow automation.


- Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.


- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making abilities.


- Experience leading cross-functional architecture and engineering teams.


- Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and enterprise delivery methodologies.


Preferred Qualifications :


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.


- Insurance platform certifications or cloud certifications will be an added advantage.


- Experience working with large-scale insurance transformation programs.


- Prior experience in enterprise architecture governance and strategic technology consulting.


- Exposure to AI-driven insurance workflows and intelligent automation solutions is preferred.
