Powerbuilder Developer

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced PowerBuilder Developer to maintain, enhance, and support business-critical applications built on the PowerBuilder platform. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PowerBuilder IDE, PowerScript, and SQL, along with experience in integrating external systems and ensuring application stability and performance.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Application Development & Maintenance :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance DataWindow objects, user objects, windows, menus, and controls.

- Write efficient, reusable, and reliable PowerScript code.

Debugging & Troubleshooting :

- Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and memory management issues.

- Ensure stability, scalability, and optimal application performance.

Database & SQL Programming :

- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers for backend database operations.

- Perform SQL query optimization and performance tuning.

- Work closely with database administrators to maintain data consistency and integrity.

Integration & Web Services :

- Integrate PowerBuilder applications with external systems.

- Consume and implement SOAP/REST-based web services.

- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Performance & Stability :

- Optimize PowerBuilder application performance through effective memory management.

- Conduct performance tuning of applications and SQL queries.

- Ensure application stability and reliability in production environments.

Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficiency in PowerBuilder IDE (classic/.NET).

- Strong knowledge of DataWindow objects, PowerScript, and application controls.

- Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.

- Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

- Exposure to SOAP/REST web services integration.

- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
