Role Overview :

The Power BI Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end BI development, data modelling, dashboard design, and analytics delivery for a large-scale US-based project. The role requires strong technical expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL, and RDBMS, along with leadership capabilities to guide the BI team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities (KRA) :

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex Power BI dashboards and reports

- Build efficient data models using DAX measures, calculated columns, and optimized relationships

- Oversee end-to-end BI lifecycle including requirement gathering, prototyping, validation, and deployment

- Optimize performance of Power BI solutions through data transformations, compression techniques, and query tuning

- Collaborate closely with business teams, data engineers, and US stakeholders to understand reporting needs

- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all visualizations and datasets

- Implement best practices for data governance, version control, and documentation

- Lead Power BI migrations, dataset refresh strategies, and workspace management

- Mentor junior BI developers and ensure code quality standards

- Drive continuous improvements in BI architecture, automation, and analytics processes

Key Skillsets :

- Strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, DAX, and Power Query

- Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases

- Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL concepts, and BI architecture

- Experience in performance tuning of Power BI dashboards and dataflows

- Ability to handle large datasets and complex business transformations

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling abilities

- Excellent communication skills to work with US-based stakeholders

- Experience leading BI teams or guiding junior developers

- Familiarity with cloud-based BI environments (Azure preferred)

- Ability to work in fast-paced, shift-based project environments
