Role Overview:
As a Power BI Lead, you will serve as the technical authority for enterprise-level reporting and data visualization initiatives. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance BI solutions.
Your day-to-day will involve architecting robust data models, optimizing report performance, and establishing governance frameworks that ensure data integrity and security across the organization. By bridging the gap between raw data and executive decision-making, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the analytics strategy for our global clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy enterprise-grade Power BI solutions that cater to complex business requirements and large-scale data volumes.
- Design and implement sophisticated data models and DAX calculations to ensure accurate and efficient reporting across diverse business units.
- Lead performance tuning initiatives for reports and underlying data sources to minimize latency and improve user experience.
- Define and enforce security protocols, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace governance, to protect sensitive corporate data.
- Manage capacity planning and resource allocation for Power BI Premium environments to ensure optimal system availability and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to streamline ETL processes and ensure seamless data integration from multiple warehousing platforms.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of development and documentation across the BI practice.
Required Skillset:
- Possess 8 to 16 years of professional experience in designing and delivering end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions.
- Demonstrate mastery in Power BI development, including advanced DAX, complex data modeling, and the deployment of enterprise-scale dashboards.
- Exhibit deep proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and performance optimization within data warehousing environments.
- Show a strong understanding of data visualization best practices, with the ability to migrate or integrate solutions from platforms like Tableau.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and present complex analytical findings.
- Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to navigate ambiguous project requirements in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
- Hold a relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
